Prescription Glasses:

With nearly 2000 prescription glasses in our stock at any given point of time, we, at Angel Eyes, ensure that you get a wide variety of selection both in terms of look, use and budget. Though our economy range of prescription frames and lenses start quite low, but we make sure to not give you anything which we know will not last long. The whole idea is to provide ‘Best value for your money’ frames. We firmly believe that every good frame need not be very expensive and whatever you invest in your vision should be fully justified and to your full satisfaction.

We do encourage our patients to spend time with our optometrists understanding how to best use and take care of your glasses. Children specially need to be counselled regarding the correct use of glasses. We urge all our patients to avail this opportunity to be able to keep their prescription glasses in a good condition for a much longer time than is usually seen.

Look Great and See Great with Frames & Lenses from The Vision Studio of Angel Eyes,

Eyeglasses are an optical device as well as a fashion accessory. The current trends in contemporary eyewear are sleek frames in new and interesting colours. Lightweight and flexible materials such as modern plastics and titanium allow for wonderful colours and materials that can be fabricated into unusual and stylish shapes. High tech lens materials offer a multiple of options for the very best vision possible.

The Vision Studio is the optical service of Angel Eyes. We offer a wide variety of both frames and lenses. Our board-certified opticians will assist you in the selection of your frames to fit your face and your style as well as your prescription. Our opticians are skilled in assessing your specific vision needs and matching your needs to the great variety of lens and frame options available today.

Our full service in-office laboratory can fabricate most prescriptions in a very short period of time without sacrificing quality. We realize that the most precise ophthalmic prescription written by our doctors is only as good as the glasses that are made from that prescription. We provide access to the most current lens designs available today which improve both cosmetic appearance and visual function. Designs such as super thin high index lens materials, progressive addition or “no-line” multifocal lenses, photochromatic “transitions” lenses, and a great selection of over 1,000 contemporary and designer frames allows our patients to both see great and look great with their glasses from The Vision Studio.

Unique Frame Lines Give You a Unique Look!

The Vision Studio is pleased to announce that we provide our patients with a variety of unique and exclusive eyewear frame designs that simply cannot be found anywhere in our area! These frame lines provide exceptional style and specialized function to make your eye glasses experience something very special.

Titanium Frames

This space age material was developed by NASA for use in the space shuttle. It is very lightweight, yet is the most durable material in frames available today. Other advantages of titanium frames is the resistance to corrosion and allergic responses so common with other metal frame materials. Also, titanium can be treated to produce a wide variety of interesting fashion colours.

High Index Super Thin Lenses

New high index and super high index lens materials allow us to fabricate lenses thinner and lighter than ever before. There are basically three types of thin materials. The first is polycarbonate. This is commonly known as featherweight lenses. It is thinner than traditional plastic by 20% to 25%. It is the lightest weight lens material and the most impact resistant. It is the most economical of the high index materials. The next material is 1.66 high index; it is about 35% to 40% thinner than conventional plastic lenses. The thinnest of all materials is 1.74 high index. This material is over 50% thinner than conventional plastic lenses. This material is often made in what is known as aspheric curves, which keep the lens as thin as possible while maintaining optical excellence.

Polarization

A fantastic development in lens technology for sunglass lenses allows over 99% light transmission with dramatic reduction in glare. These lenses absorb over 98% of both harmful UVA and UVB radiation. Patient satisfaction responses to polarized sunglasses have been overwhelming.

Transitions Lenses

New lightweight plastic photochromatic lenses are able to change from light to dark tint in just a moment. These lenses lighten to about a 10% tint and darken to a 80% tint when exposed to the UV rays of the sun. Now many patients can avoid the trouble of having two pairs of glasses while still taking advantage of virtually all lens designs such as invisible bifocals, thin lenses, etc. and still have the UV protection of prescription sun glasses all in one pair.

Progressive Addition Lenses

New designs of these “invisible” bifocals are easier to adapt to and provide a continuous range of vision from far into near without the need for lines in your glasses. Progressive lenses come in thin designs and Transitions photochromatic styles. We use only the highest quality progressive lens designs available, which provide the optimum vision performance for our patients.

The newest development in progressive lenses is fabrication via back surface digital technologies. This exciting development allows our laboratories to customize each lens prescription according to the unique individual needs of the patient’s prescription. We instruct our lab to digitally etch the patient’s prescription on the rear surface of the lens in such a way as to maximize visual performance for that individual patient. The result is a lens design that provides sharper vision and a wider and more useful lens area from edge to edge of the lens. Our patients have reported dramatic improvements in adaptation and vision function with these new lens designs.

Antireflective Coatings

Antireflective (AR) coatings are applied to lenses in order to increase total light transmission and reduce reflected light from the surface of lenses. This results in reduced glare, which is especially helpful at night when driving, as well as a marked improvement in the appearance of the lenses. Those annoying surface reflections noticed when looking at the eyes of someone wearing glasses without AR coating are virtually eliminated.

New manufacturing technologies in AR lenses produce coatings that provide the crispest optics and stay free of oils and deposits that were common to older AR designs.

Computer Eyewear

Today the majority of people use computers for many hours per day. This creates specific and unique vision demands that if not addressed will result in eye strain, fatigue, blur, and reduced comfort and visual efficiency. Your eyewear experts at The Vision Studio of Angel Eyes can design specific glasses to be used at the computer. Using the latest lens design technologies, you will be amazed with the results!
