Our Story

The story of Angel Eyes begins in September 1999 when the founding director, Dr. Dilpreet Singh, finished his fellowship and moved back to his home city, Kanpur. The earliest Eye Care Clinic was just a small part of the family run General Hospital with a background of 25 years. Though small, the Eye Care set up was very well equipped in the region having the most advanced equipment. Dr. Singh was one of the first surgeons to introduce techniques such as phacoemulsification in this region. 

Through sheer dedication and a ‘No Compromise on Safety’ policy, the eye care clinic within a span of 5 years evolved to become a premier eye care facility, Angel Eyes Lasik Centre, providing comprehensive care for a range of eye conditions. Introducing the best in Lasik and Cataract surgery, along with advanced treatments of Glaucoma, Squint, Oculoplasty and DCR, Angel Eyes continued to be the leader in comprehensive eye care.

Though having an extremely successful and satisfying practise, the founding directors, Dr. Singh and his wife, Dr. Gayatri Singh, had a unique vision in mind: to create a surgical facility that would always offer the newest, safest, most innovative vision correction technology through the hands of experienced, caring surgeons, all in an atmosphere of warm, personalized patient care.

Our 2016 relocation to the new Angel Eyes Institute of Ophthalmology is the latest and most exciting step toward this goal as it promises to revolutionize the process of vision correction surgery as well as the patient experience. Designed from the ground up for ophthalmology, the 10,000 square feet building features multiple subspecialty clinics such as retina and diabetic eye care clinic, cornea and paediatric ophthalmology services as well as cosmetic eye surgery clinic apart from LASIK vision correction, cataract and glaucoma clinics. The centre also has a well-stocked Pharmacy, an Optical Studio, an pathology as well as experienced team to deal with all types of eyes as well as medical emergencies.

For 19 years and counting, Angel Eyes, has been the embodiment of our founding vision, providing tens of thousands of happy patients a vision correction experience like no other. Everything we do here, from the constant adoption of new technology to the hand-picked surgical team and to the caring and empathetic support staff caring for the patients and their families, is a reflection of that founding vision.
